I use crayons all the time, especially when proofing a linocut or exploring different ways to make lines. I eventually determined I needed a large blocky crayon to better explore its potential. I used silicone molds to cast these large architectural crayons and have used them for a lot of preliminary sketch work where detail isn’t important but color and texture are. They are great conversation starters when just lying on a desk. I eventually built a mock product up around them that included packaging and some branding.
